Live your Dream!
Soul Illuming Center
The Soul Illuming Practice was founded by Dr. Yalda Latifi in Sydney, Australia, in 2016. She established the practice in response to the increasing demand for high-quality counselling services among Australians, migrants, refugees, and multicultural communities in Sydney. Since then, we have expanded our services to support a wider range of clients, including youth, adults, couples, and families, addressing various concerns such as mental health disorders, addiction, trauma, ADHD, personality disorders, work cover services, and domestic violence. We have created a therapeutic environment with a strong emphasis on quality treatment, where individuals are treated with respect and compassion.
Services
Yalda offers a wide range of counselling and supervision services in a safe, supportive environment where a trusted therapist helps you face and overcome life and work challenges, update our knowledge, and improve our skills.
“We spend so much effort trying to prove ourselves to others, driven by past experiences. Now is the time to focus on nurturing our mental health. Mental health is priceless and requires consistent work and practice. Its time to prioritise our happiness and invest in ourselves.
Let’s make it happen”

My Approach & Philosophy
As a professional counsellor and psychotherapist, I am committed to supporting individuals, couples, and families through a compassionate, respectful, and evidence-informed therapeutic process. My work is grounded in empathy, unconditional positive regard, and a deep respect for each person’s unique life experience.
I work with young people, adults, couples, and families experiencing a broad range of emotional, relational, and mental health challenges, including trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, family conflict, workplace stress, domestic violence, addiction, migration-related challenges, WorkCover matters, life transitions, and referrals from court or community services.
My therapeutic approach is mindful, holistic, and relational. I believe that the relationship between client and therapist is central to meaningful healing and change. Within a safe, confidential, and supportive environment, I work collaboratively with clients to explore their concerns, understand underlying emotional patterns, and develop greater clarity, self-awareness, and resilience.
Drawing on a range of therapeutic modalities and mindfulness-based practices, I tailor the therapeutic process to each client’s individual needs. This may involve exploring unconscious patterns, understanding the root causes of distress, managing strong emotions, strengthening self-esteem, improving relationships, and developing a more balanced and compassionate perspective of oneself and others.
My goal is to support clients to move toward greater self-acceptance, emotional wellbeing, personal growth, and meaningful change in their lives.
